We are thrilled to introduce our talented cast, directors, and crew! Their incredible skills and expertise are sure to leave you in awe. We are proud to a team of experienced directors and dedicated crew members. Our team has worked extremley hard to provide you with an amazing production.
Directors Note
Amanda Moore
Welcome to Shrek the Musical. The iconic characters of Far Far Away have captured the hearts of audiences old and young since 2001. Shrek’s over the top antics and unapologetic sense of self transports us to a magical land where princesses can be ogres, big bad wolves can be fabulous queens, and donkeys can fall in love with dragons. Shrek the Musical boldly catapults audiences into its colorful world where all are welcome, so long as they are ready for a bit of crude humor and a whole lot of heart.
At its core, Shrek reminds us that we can all find love and acceptance even in those moments when we feel outcast for our differences. In our uniqueness comes incredible beauty and strength of all shapes, sizes, and colors. Shrek the Musical holds a mirror up to our insecurities and reflects back at us a warm glow of radical acceptance and celebration.
I hope you will allow yourself to be transported into our magical world full of misunderstood fairytale creatures, talking donkeys and stinky ogres. If you peel back the layers of over-the-top characters, elaborate costumes, and fart jokes, you’ll find a show that’s full of heart and charm.
This production was no easy task and was only made possible by the incredible village of parents and volunteers who pitched in their time and talents to bring Shrek the Musical to life. I am forever grateful for each and every individual who continually shows such unwavering dedication to the Rising Stars program. From the bottom of my heart, thank you.

Owen Beale: Owen is a freshman at Heritage. He has been apart of Peter and the Starcatcher. He would like to thank his girlfriend, his friends, and props crew.
Brisa (Kiri) Rodriguez: Brisa is a freshman at Heritage. She has been in Peter and the Star Catcher and was in drama for her 8th grade year at Bristow Middle School. She’d like to thank her friends who encouraged her to join theater and the people on props crew who make her enjoy it.

She would like to thank Gabby Harrington for being so wonderful.​
